The purpose of the Saviours’ Day 2007 Youth Conference is to
provide spiritual, moral, socio-economic and educational empowerment for the
youth in the Nation of Islam and the community at-large. We aim to foster an
atmosphere of brotherhood/sisterhood as well as universal advancement.
Furthermore, we want to reinforce the Mission of the Most
Honorable Elijah Muhammad to resurrect the spiritually and mentally
dead, by perpetuating the movement of Freedom, Justice & Equality and
emphasizing positive and effective leadership

WORKSHOP 1
The GOD Within / Education is the Key
This workshop will tap into our faith and spirituality as it
relates to Educational Development. We will address various topics such as
how spirituality is connected to the educational process, the proper
preparation for the transition from high school to college, & recognizing
that the knowledge of self is the true basis to unlocking our gifts and
talents to use towards the benefit of our people and communities at large.
WORKSHOP 2
Financial Empowerment
The essential structure of the Financial Empowerment
workshop is to facilitate a hands on demonstration from various
entrepreneurs, and financially conscious panelists. We will deal with a
mixture of key points such as home ownership, how to establish credit,
repairing bad credit, entrepreneurship, building wealth at an early age, &
how to pay for college.

WORKSHOP 3
Male/ Female Relationships
This workshop is designed to educate the masses of our young
people on the fundamental value of understanding the nature of the male and
female, and the proper way to deal with that attraction. We will explore a
variety of issues including the appropriate and correct way to embrace
courtship, the proper preparation for marriage, the consequences of
premarital sex & intimacy, and dispelling any myths surrounding this
timeless subject.

WORKSHOP 1A
Being in the World but not of the World (Sisters Only)
This gender-based workshop will deal directly with those
specific issues that plague young women today. We will discuss the value
and the seriousness of sisterhood and how our unity can prevent our demise.
We will also explore ways to tackle peer pressure, how to deal with and
prevent teenage pregnancy, and how to withstand the temptations of
the world.
WORKSHOP 1B
From Boys to Men (Brothers Only)
Created from the basic need to help motivate, inspire, and
help cultivate our your young men into fulfilling their potential, this
workshop will serve as an interactive and informative medium to discuss the
many different concerns surrounding young men. Topics will include, a man’s
role in today’s society, the importance of brotherhood, sex and the REAL
results in engaging in this activity, the proper way to deal with the
opposite sex, how NOT to fall victim to the ills of the world, and the basic
rights of passage into manhood.
TOWN HALL MEETING
Closing the Gap
The purpose of this Town Hall Meeting is to openly discuss
the state of the youth. We will evaluate:
How the generations before can help cultivate and
inspire potential leadership in our communities?
What has caused the youth to deviate?
What is the generational gap that exists?
Why the youth feel a sense of neglect?
How do we correct this to secure OUR FUTURE!
